Hello, newbie here.

I've got a joomla website, installed K2 and placed some K2 Content modules in the site to hold some items. But when I put in the items it is not the theme of the template but with a white background and all the other things like text colors are from the template.

SO how do I get the items to look like they belong in my template?

If your template supports K2 styling, then you can disable the default K2 style by going to Parameters -> Layout & Views -> CSS & Java Script settings and Disable the K2 Default css.

If your template does not support K2 styling, then you need to edit the styles yourself. The best option is to copy the current file in components/com_k2/css/k2.css to your templates/css/k2.css

Another option, if your template comes with custom.css file and it's loaded last, you can override k2 styling there too.
