I use Jcomment with K2 ,
I have translated/customized every word but I can't find the front end word associated with "Comments counter and anchor link" which in front end shows like: " Comments (1) "

I have searched through language directory, and had no luck!

It is not missing it is K2_COMMENT and K2_COMMENTS. You can open item.php to see the language strings.
