Hi there,

Today I added 2 news items on my website www.gamecritics.eu with an image. But when taking a look at the homepage you will see the item images are not visible. Only a broken image is shown.

When I inspect the element in Chrome I see an image url in /items/k2/items/cache/ with the image name a71eb08b350426b2891f71e7eadd0246_S.jpg. But when I take a look in the above named folder, there is no such image with that name in it.

So it looks like it creates the images name and url but it doesn't get saved.

Yesterday everything worked fine and I didn't change or update anything in my website.

Joomla version: 2.5.14
K2 version: 2.6.7

Any ideas what causes the problem?

Hello ewoud,

The images url result to a 403 - Forbidden Error. I would contact my hosting provider in your position. You can always see through the System Info tab if you have permissions issues and use Admin Tools to correct them.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply.

I checked the System Info to see if I had any permissions issues but everything was writable. But I tried the Admin Tools Fix Persmissions as you mentioned. And somehow it fixed my problem.

I never used that option before but it seems a great tool in certain situations :).
