I have a website with a custom DB and i want to make a transfer to a joomla K2 site. I have about +10.000 news and i want to import them into the new site. How can i do it?

I create the same categories (with the same id) on K2 and i have the photos in a "route mode" like "images/legacy/xxxxx.jpg" in the database.

I rename each field on the database like the k2 item field to have the same name on it.

Could you help me please? i am a newbie on joomla and K2.

Hello Imrat,

It is not as simple as renaming tables, you also have to import users, access levels or link them. If you do not have the required MySQL skills I strongly suggest you hire a professional which knows the structure of Joomla! DBs and has access to your DB as well.

I insert the data. My problem are only the tags and photos!
