[SOLVED] K2, Joomla 2.5, and Firefox 23.0.n was created by Red Deer
Hey K2ers,
I've been having difficulty with one website when using K2 in Firefox since upgrading Firefox.
Config info
Joomla 2.5.14
K2 2.5.7
PHP version 5.3.18
MySQL version 5.1.70-cll
Firefox 23.0.0
Symptoms
"Solution"
Downgraded to Firefox 22 with an old user profile. Symptoms cleared up.
Firefox 23.0.1
Symptoms
Checks:
Even though K2 is working fine in Chrome, I'm suspicious that something is corrupted in Joomla, but I don't know what. I use FireBug a lot and prefer Firefox for this reason.
Has anyone seen this type of thing before?
Thanks!

- inability to save new Categories

Firefox 23.0.1
Symptoms
- Cannot see any media in the K2 Media Manager, yet Categories, Items, etc. display fine . (The Joomla media manager displays all content fine.)
- Can't save new Categories. :pinch:
Checks:
- Problem does not occur with my test site, which is an old copy of the live site.
- The database does not appear to be corrupted as far as I can tell, but I don't really know what to look for.
- The Diagnostic in the trusty ACL manager reports no issues.
- K2 for this site is behaving normally in Chrome.
- Other extensions apparently unaffected.
- Checked known bugs in Firefox new releases: nothing pertinent.

Has anyone seen this type of thing before?
Thanks!

J'ai exactement le même problème.
Je ne trouve pas la solution.
J'ai testé tous les jQuery
I have exactly the same problem.
I can not find the solution.

I tried it with FF 23.0.1 and it works fine.
FF in the past has had some issues with MooTools ( after v. 20 ) so make sure you have cleared your browser's cache as well.

In the end it turned out that Mozilla-local and Mozilla-roaming directories were somehow the problem. What worked for me was to:
0. Save my many bookmarks to make sure that I could get them back.
1. Move Mozilla-local and Mozilla-roaming directories out of the FireFox installation just in case
2. Install the latest FireFox.
That's all. It seems the previous effort with cleaning up the Firefox profile was unnecessary.
I hope this helps nyx as well. :)
