I'm able to use a path to the server to upload an attachment to a k2 item. k2 successfully creates the file into the k2/attachments folder. When I go to click on the download button, the response is file does not exist.

Which version of K2 are you using? Also it should just show the filename and not the path of the server file.

K2 2.6.7
Joomla 2.5.14

I've got this path by uploading on the server. Then I point to the file and this is the result when I save.

I've created a php.ini file to increase the size of the upload file. When I try to upload the file rather than direct on the server, it appears to upload the file when I hit save, but then the page refreshes directly to the k2 menu and when I go back to the item, there is no attachment.

It works normally with a smaller sized item. I need to attach larger files for downloading through k2store.

Try the development version and let me know if solves your issue. You can grab it at getk2.org/assets/get/

I tried through browsing, same result. No file and goes back to the k2 quick icons.

I upload through the server and this worked. This will work for me!
