Backend section not working was created by Andrei Chernyshev
I'm using Joomla! 2.5.14 and on 2 sites that I'm running K2 after install in back-end shows blank pages. here is what menu looks like also.

Actually it looks like caching issue, after clearing site cache everything is working.
