Is there a way for me to move the Facebook/twitter/Google+ to the top of a k2 article?

You will have to locate item.php file in your K2 template overrides. If you do not use one, read about K2 overrides here getk2.org/documentation/tutorials/174-templating-with-k2-and-the-concepts-of-sub-templates

Then locate the itemSocialSharing block and move it wherever you want.
