Hi, I'm also having the same problem not being able to upload a pdf attachement in Firefox (in Safari and Chrome it works well).

I'm using K2 version 2.6.8 on Joomla 1.5.26 running on PHP version 5.3.28.

When I attach an image, everything is working well.

Which version of FF are you using Bart?

I tried it with K2 2.6.8, J! 1.5.26 and PHP 5.5 and 5.2 and FF 31 over a mac.
It seems to work fine. I cannot seem to replicate the issue. I will try with PHP 5.3 as well anf let you know.

Hi thanks. I tried it yesterday via my Imac and today via the Macbook. Both have the same result. I can succesfully add attachements via Safari and Chrome on both machines. Only FF is having this issue (or FF in combination with the hosting configuration).

It 's probably the latter.
It could be a security extension blocking this. Not a very good one imo.

I saw there is an open bug on the mozilla website:

Bug 373621 - File upload set mime type as application/download instead of application/pdf

The bug has been reopend on 24th of July.
