Stop K2 changing PNG to JPG

Stop K2 changing PNG to JPG was created by doovers
Hi I'm trying to display PNG item image with transparency but K2 is converting the image to JPG. How can I stop this from happening?

Seems to me that this is the kind of action many users would want to disable??

dont use the image tab.
use the image button to add your png image in the top of your intro text.
