i just upgraded to K2 v2.6.7 but the "Rate this item -Voting" has stopped

The Thanks for voting keeps on popping up but no votes are added

I have been up & down all the settings but cant see any mistakes

Joomla! 2.5.14

I am using the latest version on every thing that I have installed
Any ideas ??

I saw that you have replaced the transparent_star.gif image with one of your own. The problem is that there is no star for the non voted state (only for the hover and voted states) which makes it impossible to either see it or vote without hovering so the stars appear.
Just replace your transparent_star.gif icon with the correct one. See how the original .gif is.

The problem is not with the stars as when I upgraded the stars and my custom colours got over written but It still failed to work

Because I am in China ( if I get Blocked) I use a second site as a test/backup site which is working fine

Unless the user sees that the stars are there when no voting has taken place how do you expect him to use the voting system?
Try to override the transparent_star.gif with the default one to see the difference.

If that image was overriden upon upgrade maybe it was because you had replaced it with your own in the component/images/system folder and not in templates/images/system folder.

The fault is not with the stars as one site works while the other does

Do you know if a PHP file or some other part may have got damaged and is not updating so stopping it from working?

Try to use the same jQuery library in both the working and non-working sites. To the working site you are loading jQuery 1.8 and in your non-working 1.7. There is a case of a conflict because in both another instance of 1.8.2 is loading as well.
