K2 content set to what position? was created by Hege Holt
I have spent hours researching trying to figure out why my Sidebar-a items are not showing up next to my K2 content.
I have only been using the Joomla component earlier and the articles show up in Mainbody, with Sidebar-a available for supporting modules.
What am I missing and how do I fix it?
Which template position does K2 show up in?
Thank you so much for any help on this! I really want to figure this K2 component out :)

Hello Hege,
K2 is a component so it loads where the component area is on your template. Remember to change your menu items as well. K2 requires its own menu items pointing towards its categories, users, tags etc.
As for the K2 modules they will render where you have set them to (module settings).

Thank you so much for your reply Krikor, but it actually didn't make me any smarter.
I have set the menu item type to K2 and chosen the preferred parameters.
The content shows up and it seems to be in Mainbody, which is where the template is set to load it.
When I publish a Latest Articles module in Sidebar A, which is normally placed next to the mainbody content, this module is being pushed down below the mainbody K2 content.
Does that make sense? And how would I be able to fix it?
I use Rockettheme Kirigami template.
I appreciate the help!

This can be due to two reasons. Your template might have some overrides for k2.css which have fixed widths or there is some invalid markup. You use the HTML validator for any unclosed elements. If you post a link to the issue I could assist you.
To be honest though, if it is a matter of unclosed elements then the template developer should take a look at it.

Krikor, thank you! I think I am on the right path with your suggestions.
Let's see if we figure it out.
Again, thank you!
