K2 upgrade fatal error was created by Daniel Williams
Hello, we recently upgraded K2 to a new version and now all pages which run K2 on our system display the following errors on the front end:
Warning: require_once(/home/pbjersey/public_html/backup1/public_html/components/com_mailto/helpers/mailto.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/pbjersey/public_html/backup1/public_html/components/com_k2/views/item/view.html.php on line 321
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/pbjersey/public_html/backup1/public_html/components/com_mailto/helpers/mailto.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/pbjersey/public_html/backup1/public_html/components/com_k2/views/item/view.html.php on line 321
Please could someone help?
Thanks

Are you sure this path exists ? home/pbjersey/public_html/backup1/public_html/
Double check your settings to see if your /tmp and /log folders are correct.

Yes, I have checked these and updated. The news page is now working however the static pages are still not,
New error message:

It is looking in a wrong folder for the com_mailto component files. I am pretty sure that
/home/pbjersey/public_html/backup1/public_html is not a valid path (due to the double public_html).
If the path is correct, make sure you have not removed com_mailto, or remove the mailto functionality from the K2 item (not the best solution)
This is most likely a setup issue. Are your settings for live site, server paths etc correct?

Thanks. The same issue was actually happening when it was live so we moved to a backup folder while we fixed it and rolled out an earlier backup as a temporary measure.
Yes, settings for live site are correct and no have not removed anything. I can access the items in the backend. I would be happy to send you the URL and give you access if you would be willing to take a look? Do you have an email address?

Ok which version of Joomla! are you using? HAve you tried updating or reinstalling? com_mailto is a component which comes bundled with the default Joomla! installation.
I would also take a longshot with this one, open my FTP client and try to see if '/home/pbjersey/public_html/backup1/public_html/components/com_mailto/helpers/mailto.php actually exists. The backup might have been corrupt. If it does not exist, I would reinstall Joomla! on top.
