For a client I have implemented K2 and managed to create categories with extra fields. One of these categories is 'event' another is 'venue'. My client does not want to enter data for a recurring venue for each event. Is it possible to link an event item to a venue item? I was thinking it would be nice to be able to make a selection of existing venue items as an extra field. Is that possible at all? I hope so, kind regards Lydie Polak

Unfortunately K2 does not offer this sort of functionality.

Have you tried looking at the JED or at the extend K2 section of this site for a K2 plugin?

You can use the related items concept to implement this feature.
I have did it before for a client and I think it can help in your case.

I looked at all the extensions but, unfortunately, there is no plugin that offers this extra functionality. Maybe it would be a nice k2 feature?

I think there are some extensions for K2 related content, have you tried any of them?
