If a category is not published in a menu, it looks like smart search does not find the k2 items published parent category and produces a link like below in search results

component/k2/item/1497-name

The result is a 100% loss of context (ie module display)

Anyone aware of this or got a reasonable fix. Publishing all the categories to a dummy hidden menu item is not acceptable as a solution in this case as there are too many nested categories....
