Hello, as so many others, I urgently need a standardized K2-internal way of having one K2 item belong to many categories. Are we far away from this or is it just around the corner? There are many good 3rd part extensions for this, but the problem is that other components fetching internal K2 item data does not understand them.

I need for instance the JoomShaper News Show module for K2 to show the same items in different categories.

K2 supports only 1 item per category.

There are extensions which support multi categorisation specifically built for K2. Try looking at the JED or at the extend K2 section of this site.

One which is commonly used is Multiple Categories for K2 (I have not used it and in no way I am endorsing any product)

Thanks, I am using one of the 3rd party solutions, but the problem is that these solutions act as an extra layer plugin and do not work together with anything else than the K2 core. My opinion is that it would be a VERY important development for K2 to let one item belong to many categories.
