Hello,

I am using Joomla 2.5.14 with newest K2

The problem is independent from the user account - admin or standard, registered user.

I can send an article without problems. But when I save it by a button in frontend editor, and after this I am looking on the articles list in backend I see this article locked ( needs global checkin ) until I propperly logout user from the portal frontend.

I haven't custom coding here, only frontend editor was overwritten by template with removed few options.

Hope to hear any help from you.

ps Unfortunately I cannot use Joomla 3.1.5 due to old temmplate version,

Best regards

This is default Joomla! behaviour.

In your position I would remove the save button from my overrides and leave the Save & Close button if the users are allowed to edit already published items.

Thank you for your reply

That point is very important for me.

Temporariliy I have allowed all rights in all k2 user grups and in the frontend editor I cannot see the "save and close" button even on super administrator account. close button did not work also - after pushing it nothing happen.

Maybe I need to overwritte the itemform.php with any custom code for this button?

I suggest you back up this form. Try to use the default one and then try stripping the elements you do not need or wish your users to see.

Hello,

I have overwritten all files in /
/components/k2/
and renamed /templates/templatename/html/com_k2 for test. And the problem still dissapear.

So, I have had reinstalled K2, the problem is all time unfortunately :(

Due to nonworking solution I have had revert all changes back.

What should I do else? I have tried also changing jquery lib to local copy, and it also did not work.

hope to hear you,

thank you

This issues happens even if the user clicks on Save & Close?
