URL Rewriting - Remove Category ID was created by Marc Bridger
Hello, I have tinkered with the SEF / SEO URL Rewriting and cannot seem to come to a result that I am content with and hope someone can help.

Here is the URL:
myurl.com/portfolio/content/5-2013/

The "content" I would like completely gone if possible
The "5-2013" is I believe the ID a DASH and CATEGORY. I only want the category (2013).

Preferred URL :
myurl.com/portfolio/2013/

Could you please tell me if there is a setting(s) I can adjust to attain this result?

Thank you!
Marc

Thought I'd mention, "Use the category ID in the URL" to NO doesn't seem to work or isn't working like I think it should. The issue above, it is set to NO

Are you sure the 5 part is not the alias of the menu item?

Also to completely remove all the prefixes you need to map all your content to menu items.

Hi Krikor, thank you for the reply.

I mapped the contents and this worked well.

The 5- is definitely not part of my alias. This occurs on other categories too: 4-2012, 2-2011 etc. The aliases are just the year.
