Following error code appears when installing K2 on Joomla 3.1.5

1146 Table 'wigrena_joomla.jom31_k2_categories' doesn't exist SQL=SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROM `jom31_k2_categories`

Make sure you have specified the correct table prefix in your configuration.php file or in your global configuration settings (server tab). The correct prefix in your case should be jom31_

I have the same exact issue. I checked my configuration.php and the Server tab at the back-end and they both use the same/correct prefix.

Also installing other components/modules works fine.

This error only appears with K2 component installation.

Joomla site V3.1.5

I also tried uninstalling K2 component but it does not appear anywhere in the Extension Management page.

I then deleted all folders associated with K2 and tried to reinstalled K2 but the same error appeared.
