How to disable comment sql queries(optimization) was created by Vitaly
Hello
So. Lets start from the beginning. My problem - there is few sites on k2. All catalogs of products.
In my 1st version I just changed template to show extra fields I needed and show all items on 1 page. And obviously I've found one problem instantly - page loading speed in categories with 100+ items. 3-5+ seconds. Too much queries.
So I completly changed template by loading exact columns from sql that I need. And disabled a lot of options in category(to reduce amounts of queries from core files)
Only one problem remains by this day. I cant disable comments query. They're disabled in item listing, in k2 options, and as a component. Still I waste at least a second on them.
Is there any way remove that query without changing your core files(I would like not to do that)

Have you also disabled the comments link through the K2 category options?

Do you mean category options -> item view -> comments? Hide option enabled. If you mean something else I cant understand what do you mean by 'comments link'
To clarify again.
In category option comments = hide.
In k2 options 'Global settings for comments" = Disabled
In extentions category "K2 comments" = Disabled
Do I need to disable something else?

I'm referring to the option: category options -> item view -> Anchor link (with comments counter) to comment form.
