Disrupt (fixed) categories elements was created by Laszlo Kosa
Hello,
I have a strange problem. In a K2 category i would like to show the first 2 articles as leading articles, and 3 other articles as primary article.
This is single but i'd like to fixed first 2 leading articles when i switch to the next page (page #2) - i have 5+ items in this category.

I try to illustrate that mechanism:

Page #1:
Leading Article 1 - Article ID 1
Leading Article 2 - Article ID 2
Primary Article 1 - Article ID 3
Primary Article 2 - Article ID 4
Primary Article 3 - Article ID 5

Page #2:
Leading Article 1 - Article ID 1 fixed
Leading Article 2 - Article ID 2 fixed
Primary Article 1 - Article ID 6
Primary Article 2 - Article ID 7
Primary Article 3 - Article ID 8

I could develop this by myself. I will be very glad for some instruction or logical tips. Is there any possibilites to achieve this mechanism with only K2 template override and without any of K2 core hack?

Ty, Regards, L

There is one easy way that comes into my mind for this and you won't need to modify any core files.
Use for the fixed items a K2 content module which would bring only the Featured items and always load it right above your category list. To prevent the items from showing to your list you can choose from the category's parameters to not show the Featured items in the list.

You are right. This idea seems a great solution. Unfortunately in that case i cannot use any filter / ordering plugin on front-end but its still a good tip for me. I will think about which is more important for us.

Thank you very much for your efforts! :woohoo:
