Download Attachement 'Resume' Support was created by Abdul Muhaymin
Hi EveryOne,
I am facing a issue in Joonla K2. Using k2 for delivering mp3 audios as attachment. So when the download link is clicked, a html page is loaded and the file starts downloading. The problem is that these files do not support download pause and resume feature. Is there any work around yo get attachments directly dowloaded from directory instead of processing from a link? Anyway whrn I asked my host, they said it is not the problem from their side, instead its the issue of script.
Thanks in Advance for all kind of suggestoon and helps :D

I'm afraid not. Try to add the mp3 files into a .zip file instead of having it like .mp3 file to download.

How does attachments process in script?
Can we give the direct ftp links to attachments, so that the files will be directly downloaded from the site directory, so this issue will not occur right?
presently a link site.com/attachments/9t3t7er9wuvotgpwre0.html something like this come, instead of site.com/media/k2/attachhments/filename.mp3 which will not affect download.
Also there is a issue that the files is directly streaming instead of saving in ios.
Please help

Hello Abdul,
If you want to add a link you can use the extrafields functionality instead of the attachments.

hi
Is it possible that this feature (resume capability) be added in the next version?
i think this possible with modify item.php in this path: /component/com_k2/models/item.php & /administrator/component/com_k2/models/item.php
for example:
