In the item view, Is it possible to insert the category header next to the item title?

Eg on this page www.taste.zealouskite.co.uk/index.php/our-produce/pork-and-apple

I ideally want to put the category header 'Scotch Eggs' next to the title Pork and Apple

Is this possible?

You can achieve this with css only.
The category block should have a float:right; and the catItemHeader a float:left;

You can enable the category block to assist you further with this.

I might need a pointer on this one

Do i edit the template css for my main site or the k2 css?

Any help on what to insert where would be great

Just create an override for the k2.css file and put the appropriate styling there.
You have to copy the k2.css file located in components/com_k2/css/ to templates/your_template/css/.
