Append Article Page Title based on K2 Category was created by Chris Casconi
Is there a way to append a page title based on an article's category? I'd like to able to set each of my articles categories to have a certain set up follow up words after the page title is listed, but before the site title is listed. For example:
Category 1
Article Page Title - Description about page title in category 1 | Site name
Category 2
Article Page Title - Description about page title in category 2 | Site name
I'd like to have the category descriptions to be different for each category.
Any help is appreciated.

Do you mean the meta description or the page heading?
You can manually set page headings, browser titles and meta tags through your menu item's params.

I mean the browser Page Title.
I'm looking for a way to make this automatically happen. Not edit every page title manually.

You need an SEO extension for this or even better look for a K2 plugin at the JED or getk2.org/extend.
It is possible if you have the knowledge to do this on your template overrides.
If you follow the directions on this page: docs.joomla.org/Customising_the_dynamic_page_title you can learn on how to customise the page title.
You can use this snippet in your template's item.php and add the K2 elements to the title.

I am not sure.
You can ask them, and also ask if they have a plugin for that as well. sh404sef has a lot of functionality and it is possible it can do this out of the box.
