[SOLVED] Edits don't show up was created by Gregory Dahl
B) Dear K2 Team:

Here's what I've done:

> set up a sub template according to the well documented instructions and named it "products".
> defined a menu page with K2 categories
> edit the file "myTemplate/products/category.php" and things happen out front.
> edit the file "myTemplate/products/category_item_links.php" and nothing happens.

I've tried renaming the file to "myTemplate/products/category_prod_item_links.php" and changing the line:
$this->loadTemplate('prod_item_links');

nothing.

I changed the file in "myTemplate/default/category_item_links.php" and still nothing.

Any Ideas?

Well, if you wrote correctly the subtemplate paths, i must say that they are wrong.

The correct path should be: myTemplate/html/com_k2/products/category.php

Didn't solve your issues?? Why dont you consider hire me? Email me or contact me www.xevedigital.com for details

Are you using any template frameworks?
Some frameworks do not use the normal MVC method of overriding and enforce their own.

Also make sure the category inherits the correct template. You can ensure that by checking that category's settings. Finally check if that category does not inherit its settings from another category.

Thank you for your pointers.

The category I was working on inherited category params from another cat.

Per the article you referred me to ( nuevvo.com/blog/item/84-k2-inheritance-sub-templating ) I assigned the template from the menu item.

Thank you!
