Hi,

I have:

Joomla! (3.2.1 Stable)
Protostar Site Template
K2 (2.6.7),
sh404sef (4.2.1.1586)

I also have these installed:

Admin Tools (2.6.0),
Akeeba backup Professional (3.9.2),
Coalaweb Traffic (0.1.7),
Easy Frontend SEO (2.5-8),
JCE Editor (2.3.4.4 ),

When clicking on the Email page to a friend on any page in my site (www.fortworthlocksmiths.com/) the window pops up but with a 403 error link missing/file cant be found.

This is the url in the box: www.fortworthlocksmiths.com/component/com_mailto/link,f284466b1593fe8def2dbbef1c871afac8e5d40b/template,protostar/tmpl,component/

If I go into the settings and go to "By component" and change the first box under "Mailto" to "Leave as non SEF" I get a 404 error instead with the following url:

www.fortworthlocksmiths.com/component/mailto/?tmpl=component&template=protostar&link=f284466b1593fe8def2dbbef1c871afac8e5d40b

Does anybody have any idea how to resolve this?

Thanks!

I get the The requested page cannot be found on your frontpage.

Are you sure Easy Frontend SEO is compatible with K2 AND sh404sef.

Thanks for the suggestion. I uninstalled everything including K2, leaving just sh404sef and still have the issue. Unfortunately the guy at sh404sef support didn't want to... or was unable to... offer any assistance at all.

I think sh404 has the option to use the default router for certain components.
Have you tried that approach?

Yes I'm aware of that option and it works.. but if you do that it disables sh404sef from doing it's primary job.
I finally just hid the email a friend option and nobody will be bothered by the error. It wasn't as important that people be able to email a friend as it was that there was no error at this time. Maybe later somebody will find a resolution and I will unhide at that time. Otherwise I'm done trying to fix it for now. Thanks for your help, even after completely removing K2!!! Too bad the folks over at anything digital weren't as helpful with their own product.

You 're welcome.

Keep in mind however that you do not really need SEF for that component since you do not want Google indexing these links. You only want your K2 Content or articles indexed.
