Hi Folks,

I have just been validating my first site built with K2 using the validator at validator.w3.org/.

I notice that K2 is adding a meta tag with the name image that is generating a validation error.

Does anyone know what this tag is actually used for or is it safe to remove?

This tag is used for social media services mostly.
You have to hack core files in order to remove it, but since it doesn't affect your site's functionality or SEO I suggest you leave it.

I thought most of them were now using the Open Graph og:title, og:description etc. metas?

It's just a shame to break proper validation.
