You site has htaccess protection.
Facebook won't be able to access it,
Also you are using an outdate version of K2 (several versions behind) that does not have the proper og: tags.
You should update to the lateset version (and your overrides as well) or use a K2 plugin for these meta tags

a) Remove the htaccess protection.
Facebook is not a human so it will never enter the code.
b) Either update (Backup your entire site and DB before doing that) or look for a plugin which supports K2 V.2.4
c) use Joomla! 's API if you are comfortable with coding to manually insert meta tags
docs.joomla.org/JDocument/setMetaData

You should ask the site developer or your hosting provider.
The message I get prompted with is to enter a code in order to prove I am human.

You have to install it on top.
Backup first since you are updating from a much older version.
Both your DB and your filesystem.
Akeeba Backup can be used for this. (Remember always test your backup)
If you are not comfortable with templates and overrides I suggest you ask a professional to assist you.
