Mass import to K2: Images ? was created by Cyana
Dear all,
I want to mass import 2500+ items to K2 from an external database as CSV file. While I figured out how to import extra fields, I have no clue how I can import the image links - they appear not to be included in the K2 item record. Does anyone maybe know how to achieve that?
thanks
Cyana

Hello Cyana,
You have to use md5() to generate these images.
This plugin might help -> github.com/rdeutz/rebuildK2imageCache

Thanks a lot Krikor! Looking through the code it appears that this plugin expects all source images in the same directory ? I'm still very new to php, sorry if this question is stupid ;)
In my case each image is already uploaded into a different directory. So in the first step, I would need to tell K2 the link to the original image, and afterwards rebuild the image cache. When I manually assign an image to a K2 item, I provide the image link - so I hoped this link to the original image is somewhere stored inside the item record, but this obviously is not the case?
thank you very much

Hello cyana,
No the link is not in the DB you need to regenerate these images with the md5() function.
The plugin will guide with that.
