Upload Error was created by Robert
Keep getting an upload error when uploading the package file K2_v2.6.7 in my Joomla 3.2.0 site.

SQL=SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROM `ccl_k2_categories`

I looked and from what I see folders are 755 and files are 644. The config php was 444 which I tried switching to 755 and this did not help.

Hello Robert,

Try the 2.6.8 DEV version. getk2.org/assets/get/
Completely remove the older version and install this one.
(Just this once, next time just install on top)

Did you download a new DEV version?
This version is updated hourly and the most version contains all the fixes.

Can you try downloading it again?

No luck.

I re-downloaded the version a few minutes ago and tried to upload to the site and the same SQL=SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROM `ccl_k2_categories` error came up.

Hello,

Try to Repair your database before re-installing the K2 component again. Maybe something have gone wrong in your first attempt.

You should go to Extension Manager -> Database (left sidebar) -> (click button) Fix.

That didn't work and now every password is no longer valid. I now have to email every user with a new password.

Try to do this:

In Joomla Admin area go to Extension Manager > Discover (side bar nav)
Click on the "Discover" button at the top.
Find all of the K2 files that weren't installed and select them. Click on "Install" button at the top.
Go back to Extension Manager > Install
Reinstall the K2 zip file on top of the old installation.
