K2 Comments - all comments have admin as author was created by John Vincent
Hi,
When a registered user makes a comment, the comment's author shows it as the website admin.
So when a registered user wants to moderate their comment they can not because they are not the author of the comment the site admin is.
Can someone help me with this?
John

Hello,
Even though the registered user has logged in with his own user details, he still has this issue?

Yes. the moderate comments link shows and it tells you that you have a published comment but when you try to moderate the comment it brings up an empty dialog box.
And when I check the admin panel comments it shows the users name but the author of the comment is the admin of the site.

Is the user logged in when he/she posts a comment? If they are not and they just put their name every time the post a comment they won't be able to edit comments since the user is not practically linked with the comment.

Ok. So the links for each author are correct in the comments list.
Maybe you have understood wrong the edit comments part.
The user can moderate comments in his own items not his own comments in general.

I see, so the user has to post the photo in order to moderate the comments on the photo. is that correct?
And if that is the case, then is there a way for a user to edit there comments on any item?

The user has to be the author of the item itself in order to moderate its comments. In this case, and if he has the appropriate permissions, he can moderate all comments of this item even if they are not his own. (again I highlight the appropriate permissions for this).
