Rebuilding K2 item images? was created by skullmonkey
Hi,
I just migrated my website to another hosting and I lost all my K2 item images. The /media folder is there, I can see the images in the /cache folder but not in the articles. Can you please help me how to get my site working again?
Thanks,
skullmonkey

Do you see the images in the backend and not the frontend?

Hi Yiota Ziaggou,
yes. In SITE_FOLDER/media/k2/items/cache I see the images but they have different names as I noticed. I did a perfect copy of the site. Zipped and unzipped on my other hosting. Now when I open the K2 items none of them have image attached on it.
Thanks,
skullmonkey

Make sure your files were copied with the correct permissions.
Installing Admin Tools will help you correct your file permissions.
PS. Always backup before doing any work like this.
PS2. Try to take your backup of your previous version with Akeeba Backup.

Hi, thanks for your fast answer.
If I get you right, I:
1. Install Admin Tools and do Fix Permissions
2. Install Akeeba tools and do a backup.
3. Use that backup to build my new site on the new hosting?
Thanks,
skullmonkey
