This is from a recently installed template with sample data from Template Monster.

K2 displays two lines of errors:

JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: 491
JUser: :_load: Unable to load user with ID: 564

I've done all the php I've been instructed to do - changin user ids to make from the users table and the user maps table, there is only ONE user called 42 in the database. All the ids match across the tables.

So where are users 491 and 564 coming from?! I need help! I've spent weeks fussing with this volunteer website to get it running for them and I can't get past this stupid user error.

This error means that those users existed in your system and they had items assigned to them. You can check what are these items you get this error and change the author.

Is it possible to do a mass change of authors on all the articles? I bet every item in there was written by one of those users...

Why does one item have BOTH of those load user errors on it? Can you have two different authors?

Maybe one was the author and the other the alias author.
You can do a mass change of authors only through the database I'm afraid.

Ask your template developer to help you with this.
