Hi, I am on J 2.5 and new to K2. I purchased the Simple Gallery Pro and that worked fine. Question: I have text in the body of K2 Items (former articles) that I would like to show in columns. After watching several times the tutorials I see that to get this I need to create a new item for each piece of text to go in a column and would like to avoid this as it would be extensively crafty and time consuming. Is there a way to transform the text directly in columns as we can do with MS Word or Mac Pages?

Do you have an example or page we can see in order to understand better what you want to achieve?

I am sorry not having been clear, but I am really struggling on the learning of K2, because I thought I would find something totally different and the problem is the lack of a Manual, or a Step-by-Step Guide, which I am not blaming your for not having considering it is a free product, but would certainly be very, very useful.

My problem is that I administrate a Website that was already designed (without content) with a layout based on a Main and a vertical Menus that I completed by adding accordeon submenus to both. The article/item content is displayed across the screen and I want to have it organised in columns.

The point is that no-where in K2 explanations I manage to see how this may be done because menus are not mentioned at all and only reference is made to categories... How to I get to the point I want? I have watched the Cowgirl Devotion videos, but I think something is not clarified in respect of Joomlah's menus, should I transform them and their respective submenus in Categories and sub-categories? What is your current content structure? Where are all the contents located?
Do you not have category/sub-categories?

I have 3 Categories: General, Photos and Press

And which one's items you need to load in columns? Select that one and add in the category the appropriate settings for the listings in order for your items to show in columns.

Now I have a further problem: I am still using the J Articles because I started with one into K2 and now I cannot edit it on the front page, icon representing a page and a pen that you click on to edit the article/item content there has disappeared and nothing shows instead. Can you help?

What Joomla! and K2 versions do you use?

Joomla 2.5.16 and K2 last update.

Try to enable error reporting to see if an error occurs while you click on the edit button.
Do you get a similar behaviour for the add new item through the frontend?

Also, check in the browser's console to see for any javascript errors.
