[SOLVED] Some pages randomly breaking was created by Solomon Hodge
Hi all, I'm having a bizarre problem and I can't resolve it. I have a dev site, that, for some reason, breaks on various pages for no reason I can see.

(edit: links changed, added in new post below)

They are both using the same template, same K2 inherited parameters, and are both K2 items in the menu. I'm at a loss. It happens randomly on other pages too, so it's not isolated to one page. Has anyone seen this before? Possible solutions?

As a note, there are other K2 sites on this server, and it's an isolated incident.

I'm running K2 2.6.7 + Joomla 3.2.2.

Thanks for any help!

Hi. Try to set error reporting to development in Joomla! global configuration. This way you will see the errors ( if any ) on your screen.

So I've figured out the issue is happening on any page where an email address appears (whether it's in the content, or the K2 User Module on pages such as a blog). As a note, I don't add the <a> tag on emails - I let K2 do it automatically.

I've never seen this happen before - any ideas as to how I could fix it?

I don't think this has to do with email address. You are getting a 404 error which means that:

1. The menu link is not published or is deleted.
2. The menu link points to a category/item that is not published. Here you should also check start publishing and end publishing dates as well as that the category/item is not in trash.

Thanks for the response, and sorry about the link issue. This should correct it, while showing what happens.

(edit: link removed due to solution)
- This is a category blog. The post in particular I'm looking at is the ACW one. You'll see at the very bottom there is an email address.

If you click the ACW title (edit: link removed due to solution) - you'll see the page breaks, but the email address appears.

If I remove the email address, the page works again. But, unfortunately, that's not an option I can entertain for some pages.

Thanks in advance for the help!

It should be a module that is causing this. If you call just the component www.churchoftheresurrection.ca/new/ministries/adult/acw?tmpl=component you will see that it's working fine. So try to disable some modules until you find which one is causing this.

Thanks for the help! I determined the issue was related to the navigation jquery and email cloaking. I disabled the cloaking and the problem has been resolved!

Silly workaround, but I'll go with it!
