Error on frontend editing in Joomla 3.2 was created by Steven Trooster
When I add frontend edditing to my site I get this error messsage:
jos-Error: You are not authorized to view this resource

JApplicationCms -> execute() @ [path-to-file]/index.php:40
JApplicationSite -> doExecute() @ [path-to-file]/libraries/cms/application/cms.php:255
JApplicationSite -> dispatch() @ [path-to-file]/libraries/cms/application/site.php:208
JComponentHelper :: renderComponent() @ [path-to-file]/libraries/cms/application/site.php:178
JComponentHelper :: executeComponent() @ [path-to-file]/libraries/cms/component/helper.php:332
require_once() @ [path-to-file]/libraries/cms/component/helper.php:352
K2HelperPermissions :: checkPermissions() @ [path-to-file]/components/com_k2/k2.php:34
JError :: raiseError() @ [path-to-file]/components/com_k2/helpers/permissions.php:166
JError :: raise() @ [path-to-file]/libraries/legacy/error/error.php:253

I've tested this on Joomla 3.2.1 and 3.2.2.
I have installed the latest K2 (developer) version, as posted elsewhere ( 2.6.8 )
I've disabled the smart search, as suggested elsewhere.
Still no luck.

Hi. This means that you are not authorized for front-end editing. Please ensure that the user you are trying to access this page has the appropriate permissions. This means that user must be a valid K2 user and assigned to a K2 user group with front-editing permissions.

I figured it out: not that the user wasn't assigned to the correct usergroup, it was that the usergroup didn't have acces to any category.

Still it would be nice if K2 generated a clear userfriendly message like 'You don't have access to do this', in stead of a Joomla system error. Please fix this in the next update.
