I need to hide an extra field (just 1 out of many extra fields) from public view, so I unpublished it. However I do need to show it on the itemform so it can be filled in by a registered user.

Is there a good way to do this?

Hi. There are two ways to do this:

1. Make a template override for item.php and in the loop where extra fields are displayed skip the one you want to be hidden by checking it's alias or id.
2. Hide it with CSS.

Hiding with CSS was the way I would have done it, just wanted to check there wasn't a better way.
