All items I create are showing a created and publish up date exactly six hours in the future.
My server time is America Chicago and my Joomla Config time is America Chicago.

However no matter what I do, the create date/time and publish date/time always shows up exactly 6 hours in the future.

ON to the funny part, if I hit SAVE, and reopen it, its now 12 hours in the future.

Joomla 2.5.18
k2 2.6.7

Hi. Grab the K2 development version from getk2.org/assets/get/ and install it. Let me know if your issue is resolved.

Unfortunately no, that didn't do it.

I create a new item, and before I saved it, it said . 2014-02-27 14:00:47 , which it is right now 2014-02-27 08:00:47

After saving, it changed to 2014-02-27 20:00:47

So its set default to 6 hours in the future, then after save its 12 hours in the future.

Here is the kicker, if I manually change create and publish back to 0800, and click save, it goes back to 14:00!

This IS a fresh install, and I have double checked both the server time which is Thu Feb 27 08:04:29 CST 2014

and I've checked Joomla Time zone which is America Chicago (which is where I am)

I also checked my user account, and its set to use the same timezone.

I set the timezone to Chcago and checked under Joomla! 2.5.18 with the development version of K2 and everything works fine. Are you sure you are running the development version of K2? What's your PHP version? What's your server software? Maybe you also need to read this post getk2.org/community/New-to-K2-Ask-here-first/187725-SOLVED-Item-created--published-dates-change-on-edit

Ya totally wierd.

Joomla 2.5.18
K2 2.6.8
PHP 5.3.26
Server Timezone America/Chicago
Mysql Timezone America/Chicago
Joomla Timezone America Chicago

I found this error while debugging, but its all I can find.

datetime.--construct</a>]: Failed to parse time string (-001-11-30T00:00:00+00:00) at position 7 (-): Double timezone specification 50

OMG, I'm such an idiot.

When I used Jupgrade it set all my users to UTC as default, not America/Chicago. Even though Joomla was set, the users were set to the future
