Image Tab was created by Paul Beckers
I am using K2 version 2.6.7 and Joomla 2.5.18 and now the image tab becomes useless. Normally I upload images using the Image Tab, but they don't apear in the list or in the article.
I might have had some problems with permissions, but now the system information > permissions of maps > do not show errors anymore.

Hi. Do you get any error when you upload an image?

No error message. Just saying "item saved".
In the item list (overview) there is no image flag saying that there is a K2 image for that article.
Opening the article doesn't show an image under the image tab.

@hardkiffeur
There is no database flag. It just checks if the file exists. Each item image gets renamed with a hash of it's id. So K2 knows which file should look for.
@Paul Beckers
Have you tried uploading an other image file?

Choosing an exsiting image or uploading a new one, seems OK. But after I saved the K2 article, the image tab is empty. WIth no warning or error message.
Tried uploading other images but no difference.
Now I tried to upload using the image gallery tab. This generates an error : gallery upload error, cannot unpack the archive.
Which brings me to the cache folder which contains several K2 folders as com_k2-extended, mod_k2_content
It seems they have other permissions than the mail owner/group I am using.

Ask your hosting company to set up PHP to be executed as CGI/Fast CGI instead of Apache module. This should solve all your permissions issues.
