[SOLVED] Front end editing won't work was created by Douglas Rost
Not sure what is going on with my site... I have used this before in other sites with success.
1) In parameters I have front end editing enabled
2) I have created a user group and with rights to edit/ create
3) I have assigned users to the group
And yet I have no "Edit" button on the frontend, nor do I have the "add to this category" button... and this is even logged in as a super user. What am I missing???
concealcarrybond.com/ccb-blog/item/4-article-2
Any suggestions would be VERY welcome.Thanks.

Hi. Check again your K2 user groups permissions. Which versions of Joomla!/K2 are you using?

I have the latest version of K2, just updated it yesterday in fact.
I have verified that the permissions for the group are all set to YES, and that the users are assigned to the group. As I mentioned, this doesn't even work when I am logged in as an superadmin. Also, under PARAMETERS, front end editing is enabled.

Super Admin has nothing to do with K2 permissions. I am referring to K2 user group permissions, not the permissions found under K2 parameters.

Yes, I understand that. I was just giving as much info as possible. The permissions for the K2 user group is set to allow all editing features, and the users are assigned to the K2 user group

This is a template issue. If your settings are correct and the buttons are not appearing, then the template developer must have stripped the code.
Ps. You are not referring to concealcarrybond.com/blog/item/demo-article , are you?

OK, I will look into the template...
Frustrated, and needing to get this fixed right away, I put on the blog from ZOO instead and all is working fine. Thanks for your help.

Well I am still having the same issue.
I created a demo site and am just using Protostar to ensure it is not a template issue... and I get the same thing. What am I missing???? Aaaarrrggghhh
demo.myblackfrog.com/blog
Once again:
- Joomla 3.2.3
- K2 V2.6.7
- K2 user group with permission for front end editing
- K2 users assigned to group
- K2 parameters set to allow front end editing
- K2 templates set to default
Result when logged in:
- no edit button
- no new article button
