IS there any way to use the same category twice in a category view component, once on one page with CustomTemplateA and once on another page with CustomTemplateB ?

I haven't found a way to overwrite the template i set at category level in the back office of k2, so all category views of that same category inherit it.

Hi. Can you please clarify? Are you talking about K2 templates or Joomla! template styles? If you are talking about K2 templates, each K2 category can only have one.

Yes i was talking about custom k2 category view templates.

I "solved" the problem by using the category (that already had a custom k2 template assigned to it) + an empty category as categories to be shown by the category view component, which allowed me to set an override template for "multiple categories".

Glad to hear that you have found a workaround. It's not optimal but it's a clever one.
