Problem with custom item ordering in backend was created by Hrvoje Znaor
Hello
I have problem with K2 item custom ordering in backend. We have a lot of items set within couple categories and subcategories.
When some category is selected in Select category filter, it displays only items from subcategories within selected category.
When I click "ordering arrows" to activate custom ordering, items are displayed grouped by subcategory.
System allows to reorder items only within own subcategory. When I try to drag and drop item from X subcategory between items in Y subcategory,
system doesn't allow it - all items in Y subcategory are marked by gray box
Is there some K2 setting to allow item ordering across all displayed subcategories?
Joomla 3.2.3
K2 v2.6.9 (Developer Build)
Regards

Hi. No, you cannot have ordering across multiple categories. The only way to do this is to mark items as featured, filter the list to show only featured items and then use the "Featured Ordering" column.

Except that you can also use the normal ordering. But that will display the first category items, then the second category items etc.
