I have checked persmissions throughout my site, all appears ok tmp folders set correctly.

when i install other components or modules, no problem at all??

I have noticed other users are having the same issue?

Anyone have any thoughts on where this error is coming fropm???

Hi. Try to grab a fresh copy from getk2.org/assets/get and install it.

This is probably a server setup issue. Are you sure that other extensions are installed without problem?

I have installed modules and components earlier today as a test and all installed without a problem, I have also updated k2 in the past without error only this version.

Then if it is specific to K2 maybe the files of K2 don't have the right permissions on your server. Ensure that components/com_k2 and administrator/components/com_k2 have the correct permissions.
