@Simone Bussoni I checked out the version 3 and it is completely mootools-free. Front end editing doesn't use modal and the image modal is using a custom jquery modal script I think.

Yes,

MooTools is there for Joomla! 1.5 support, since version 3 will be for Joomla! 3.x MooTools is not used.
