Hello

I was strugling to get my new users auto assigned to a K2 group. and could only have this working when enabling K2 profile.
I am using an other extension to manage my user profiles so I don't want to use k2 for this.
Any solution here ?

I'm using k2 on j3
system and user K2 plugins are enabled.
My default k2 groups is set in the related setting called:
Select the default K2 User Group for new registrations

Hi. It depends on what you want to do. If you don't need K2 user profiles you can keep them disabled.

Sure, this is what I wished, but if I disabel k2 profiles, my new users are not auto-assigned to my default k2 group anymore. Is this how it is supposed to work ?

Yes. If you disable it, then it is disabled. K2 looks for a special variable in order to assign the user. You can see the condition at github.com/joomlaworks/k2/blob/master/plugins/user/k2.php#L63 . If you can add this variable to the form of the other extension you are using then probably it will work.
