K2 Pagination not working was created by Craig Hugo
Hi,

I'm currently working with Joomla 2.5 and K2, but no pagination is working within my listings via a K2 module?

I don't have SEF URL's enabled, and have set a limit of 5 items in the category (leading and primary counts), and 0 in the module, but it's still showing all results on the first page, any suggestions?

The CSS currently sitting within the template: (not sure if I need to add/remove anything?)

* K2 pagination */
.k2Pagination ul {
list-style:none;
display:inline-block
}
.k2Pagination ul li {
float:left;
line-height:16px;
padding-right:10px
}

.k2Pagination li span, .k2Pagination li a {
line-height:16px;
font-size:13px;
}
.k2Pagination li a:hover {text-decoration:underline;}
/* latest news */

Many thanks,
Craig

Hi. First of all you need to clarify if you are talking about module or component ( menu link to K2 ) output . Modules do not have pagination at all.

Hi Lefteris,

Thanks for coming back to me.

I had set the pagination within the category settings.

I've essentially created a number of K2 items to be shown on a Joomla page via a K2 category within a K2 module.

Is that correct?

Thanks

No. In order to have pagination you need to create a menu link to K2 categories. Then you can define how much items you want to be displayed per page by tweaking the leading, primary, secondary and links options. These options can be found in the category edit page. In case your menu link is pointing to more than one category then these options can be found at the menu link edit page.

Ok, I've tried the following, but it still hasn't worked?

I've created a new menu item using: K2 'Latest items from (one or more) users or categories'

I've selected the category I'd like to pull items from, and set the max number of items to be shown as 10.

In the category it's self, I've set the leading, primary and secondary count to 5, and pagination results to 'show'.

Result:

It simply shows the number of items that I define in the K2 menu item which is 10.. ?

There are 14 items in the category, so I'm expecting there to be a second page to show the remaining 4 results.

I have misunderstood something here?

When you said create a menu item linking to categories, is the below the correct one to use?

'Latest items from (one or more) users or categories'

I said to create a menu link to K2 categories, not to K2 latest view. There is no point of pagination in latest view since you already select the categories and the users you want to display. You can see all the available K2 views ( and modules ) at the K2 demo site at demo.getk2.org/ .
