site is slow now. was created by Kevin
My site is suddently slow started from yesterday, I called the hosting company, they said they did php upgrade but they roll the php version back to my old version 5.3, but then I suddenly have slowness in my site. I called them back, but they said they don't see any problem. They said this is because the coding is poor, but I think this is bullshit from them. Anyway, can anyone take a look on mysite to see if you can help me figure out why this is slow. The site is www.nybsnews.com

Thanks
Kevin

Yes, your site is loading slowly. K2 has been built with performance in mind, so you're right to say it's bullshit from them.

If your site was behaving just fine before but not now, then it's most definitely a server issue. Try to minimize the load your site puts on the server by enabling caching in Joomla ("Progressive" setting). If you're on shared hosting, this could be temporary. Or not.

You must understand that shared hosting does not guarantee performance for your site.

Are you on InMotion Hosting by the way?

I talked to my hosting company one more time, they said, my cpu usage is bounced to an unaccpetable level, so they have to restraint the usage. See the picture below, they said anything above the yellow line is not good. So I need to have a better hosting company with more resource available. Any recommendation?

I did some research from internet, according to the internet, looks like inmotionhosting is one of the best vps hosting company, not sure if you agree with it. What about the one I choose: ipage. I submit a ticket with them to restore the cpanel, but it take them a day to restore a 10 mins work. They said their ticket need 24 to 48 hours to process, that concerns me, can anybody give me some suggestion. For example, how about the support for inmotionhosting. Any other site you can think of. This is specific to the VPS hosting.

Personally I have not used it so I can express any opinions.
I think you should google about their support and how happy their customers are.
I am sure there are tons of reviews out there.
