Is there any way to have a drop down of registered users as an extra field for an item?

For example I create an item and tag another user. I use an extra field and when I click I see all the registered users on the site and I choose only one.

I have not seen this in stock so is there a way to add it by developing a custiom extra field plugin?

Hi. No there is no such functionality in K2. Also note that you cannot add new extra fields. To extend K2 items you need to create a K2 plugin.
