How to generate proper URLS when using K2? was created by Marc Wensauer
Hello,
I have the following setup:

K2:
category
... ProducerA
... ProducerB

I have some Extra fields and I am trying to filer the products with JA K2 Search which I bought some days ago.

As far as I hit the search button I gt such ugly URL:
capesideport.de/component/jak2filter/?Itemid=114&theme=ja_k2filter&isc=1&ordering=alpha

Any idea how to remove "component/jakfilter"?

Some thing else:
The search Result Item Links look even more confuse, eg::
capesideport.de/component/k2/item/1-president-truman-a

How do I maintain a liunk structure like this:

domain/producer_name/product_name

or atleast:
domain/database/producer_name/product_name

I tried creating a hidden menu but that didnt solved the issue, I still have urls like this:

capesideport.de/producer/president-truman
the logical url would be the following whereas "Bille" is the producer name:
capesideport.de/bille/president-truman

Like to have a look in the backend ?

just write me a mail to daslicht {Æ} ansolas {dot} de

Any help is welcome!

These urls are generated from your menu structure.

domain
--- The Bill part should a menu item by itself either pointing to a user page a K2 Category
President-truman this is the item, so no menu item necessary.

Alternatively you can play around with K2's advanced SEF and change the prefix for author pages.

You can strip the id by using K2's advanced SEF.
If you want to strip the /item/ as well you need to use an SEO/SEF extension.

If in parameters->advanced->SEF advanced options i bring article ID in URL in off then url not change.
If i use sh404sef than all articles and categories in my site show me error 404.

You have to use one of these two.
No point in using two similar settings.

If you use sh404sef in your site then you should let that extension handle all your URLs. (disable the advnaced SEF settings).
