we have limited the upload size in php.ini but now we want to show the user that the file is to big.
in default Joomla of JCE upload there is a message popup but in k2 nothing happens when trying uploading an to big image.

so how can I add a message to the itemform.php when the user is uploading to big files.

Joomla!/K2 uses the limit set by your PHP settings. You can edit your php.ini if you have access or you can ask your host to do it for you.

By default it's two mb, I think if you set to 4 if you upload large images or 20 if you are uploading songs you 'd be ok.
